Vintage DeLizza & Elster Brooch.

Vintage D&E Rhinestone Brooch with an unidentifiable mark.
DeLizza & Elster Jewelry became a large manufacturer for companies including
Lane, Weiss, Caviness, Kramer and others. However, for a short period around
1967 the company produced jewelry directly. These pieces had a hang-tag marked
“Juliana”. There are characteristics that authenticate D&E pieces such as 4
pronged stones, metal accent leaves, closed and open backed stones and the
directly attached pin back. These features are present with this piece.
D & E Brooch’s similar to this are featured in Ann Pitman’s Juliana Reference
Guide (pg. 242).
This piece is a stunning gold toned brooch with a cornucopia of large
rhinestones, watermelon stones and art glass leaf designs. The piece measures
3.5 “ length.
There is a mark on the piece. I have captured it on a photograph however it is
not clearly identified. It appears to be the shape of a triangle or “pizza
slice” and markings at the crust. It is located under a layer of the
dimensional setting.

There is wear on the piece as the previous owner enjoyed it. I take condition
into consideration when pricing my jewelry.
